APPLIED CLINICAL NUTRITION

Evaluating lifestyle factors that contribute to our pain or illnesses is an important part of Chinese Medicine. In America, the land of the SAD and fad diets, receiving proper nutrition is an important aspect to healing. Looking beyond the common popular diets, like the Paleo diet, the Ketogenic diet, the Autoimmune diets, etc., and really looking at the personal tendencies and conditions of the patient, allows us to use the principles that Chinese medicine has laid out and build a more custom and moderate approach to food. Excessively restrictive diets do not prove to be beneficial to ones health in the long run, and so we look for ways to build a moderate but helpful diet that allows one personal freedom and joy of food, yet still achieving our health and wellness goals. 


We can review what your current food habits are, and find ways to improve upon them without breaking the bank, going on incredible restrictions, or feeling overwhelmed at making a meal. Any current diet restrictions can be maintained, but might be recommended to change by the practitioner. We will always respect a person’s decisions and our suggestions are always made from a Chinese medicine perspective. We advocate for our patients to take charge of their own care and make choices that they can feel good about.
